Having spent several years in consumer-focused practices and clerking for federal judges, Stephen Marlowe has developed a keen appreciation for the diverse perspectives that each case presents.

After law school, Stephen clerked for Senior District Judge David A. Faber in the Southern District of West Virginia for two years and for Chief Bankruptcy Judge Frank J. Santoro in the Eastern District of Virginia for one year.

Prior to switching coasts to attend law school in Virginia at William & Mary, Stephen worked as a paralegal for four years at a small law firm in his hometown of Santa Clarita. His dedication to serving his neighbors in that role was the proving ground for his legal career.

In law school, Stephen was one of a handful of students selected to assist in teaching the legal writing and lawyering skills courses. He also externed for Senior District Judge John A. Gibney in the Eastern District of Virginia and for Bankruptcy Judge Robert N. Kwan in the Central District of California. Finally, Stephen served as a summer clerk alongside highly accomplished trial lawyers at a preeminent plaintiff’s firm in Los Angeles.

Stephen spent his formative years in Southern California. There, he met his wife while they were both working at a drive-through coffee shop. After a decade of marriage, he still enjoys making her lattes. They have two children, who have inherited Stephen’s love of nature and who make sure he spends most of his free time chasing them around outside.
